Our quaint 2 bedroom cottage is stylishly decorated for a comfortable stay in Alexandria. Our house is close to Erskineville and trendy vibrant Newtown, it is a short bus trip into the City and there are countless outlet shops nearby for a session of retail therapy. The house is in a quiet leafy street surrounded by other terrace houses and the local supermarket is only a convenient 8 minute walk away. The 2 bedrooms are spacious with the main bedroom having a king-size bed and ample built-in wardrobes to enable you to unpack and settle in for a relaxing stay. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and wardrobe. Both beds have crisp hotel quality linen to enable you to enjoy a good night's sleep whilst the reverse cycle air-conditioning keeps you cool in the summer and warm and cosy throughout winter. We have provided a queen-size sofa bed in the lounge room for when there are 5 or 6 guests staying or if the sofa bed is requested to be used by a smaller number of guests. There will be an additional $25/day/additional guest charged to cover the extra linen and cleaning. Our air-conditioned lounge and dining area is open plan and joins onto the kitchen. The lounge room is styled with a plush 3 seater lounge and reading chair which makes it comfortable to sit and watch the free Netflix on our 55 inch Smart TV. The dining table seats 6 guests easily and we have provided all crockery and cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils, cutting boards, placemats and coasters, tea towels and childrens cutlery, cups and plates to enable you to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is modern with stone benchtops and modern appliances. We have a microwave and dishwasher for your convenience and the kitchen is stocked with a few basic pantry items such as paper towel, olive oil, salt/pepper, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher tablets. We also supply starter packs of coffee, tea (plain & herbal), sugar and small milk to help you get settled in before heading off to the nearby supermarket to get the supplies you need for your stay. For those that need to stay for work related visits, we have free wi-fi and a small study nook with a desk and lamp to make those work hours comfortable. The bathroom has a shower over the bathtub and plenty of storage space. We provide fluffy white towels which are just lovely to wrap around yourself after a warm shower or bath. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturiser and hand wash are provided. Also in the bathroom, we have supplied a washing machine for those who like to freshen up their clothing during a long journey. Washing machine liquid is supplied for your convenience. A clothes airer with pegs are supplied as we have a lovely sunny courtyard to dry your clothes in. Our lovely quiet courtyard is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine on a summer evening or a family meal around the 6 seater outdoor setting. The backyard is lined with Orange Blossom plants and there is a beautiful Jacaranda tree that hangs its branches above the yard. Parking in the street is 2 hourly between 8am to 10pm. There is unrestricted parking at the end of the street and right along the next street that runs parallel to ours. If preferred, parking permits can be provided for an small additional $10/day fee but need to be REQUESTED WHEN BOOKING as they need to be organised in advance. The location of the house is in the perfect spot to branch out in different directions to explore our beautiful city. Please be aware when booking, you will be charged a security deposit of $250 which will be returned on completion of your stay if there has been no damage.
