Ejam House is located at a walking distance from the Happy Valley Tea Factory. It’s about 2.5 kms from the main market and Mall road. It’s a 3 bhk property with an unobstructed view of tea garden, hills and Darjeeling town. The owner and family resides on the first floor of the building, however you’ll have your privacy and your safety is assured. Just a perfect place away from the hustle and bustle of the city to reconnect to oneself.
The space
It’s a 3bhk property on the second floor. You need to climb a few sets of stairs. The bedrooms are consciously planned to accommodate a family with children as well as a group of friends. All the three bedrooms are spacious. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed with an attached washroom and view; bedroom 2 has one single bed and a double bed with an attached washroom and view; bedroom 3 has a queen sized bed with a view. We have a living room, an extra washroom, and a kitchen.
Guest access
The guests will have complete access of the listed property. The stairs (outside) on that floor are however used by the owners to access the terrace and backside of the building for household chores.
The guests may have access to the terrace which showcases varieties of flowers (some are rare, too) which are not allowed to be touched or plucked but the terrace is completely managed and accessed by the property owner and family.
Other things to note
We are located about 2.5 kms from the main market and Mall road. You either have to walk up the steep roads (which are walkable if you’re accustomed to walking) or hire local taxis that’ll cost around ₹300 and above depending on the destination.
The surface of the road above the tea factory has deteriorated so it could be difficult if you’re planning to self ride/drive. However local taxis and drivers can be arranged who are well versed with the road condition.
