Shanouk Lodge is a stunning and unique holiday home, a destination in itself with vaulted ceilings, colourful décor, and multiple living areas over 3 levels. Just a short walk to beach and Begola Wetlands, or a 5 minute drive/15 minute walk to cafes and shops on Ocean Grove's Terrace, this holiday property is an ideal home away from home.
Shanouk Lodge is also just a short drive to the historic towns of Queenscliff, Pt. Lonsdale, Geelong, Torquay, Portarlington, and St. Leonards, as well as the Bellarine coastal drive, the fantastic Geelong Adventure Park, and many wonderful golf courses such as 13th Beach.
Accommodating 8 people with the option of an additional double futon bed and two single fold-out futon beds, our spacious holiday home offers 4 bedrooms on the ground and mezzanine levels. The master bedroom with a comfortable king bed and en suite bathroom is situated on the ground floor. On the mezzanine level we have the three bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, the largest of which has a spa - the perfect place to soak and relax after a day of exploring the local attractions. We have a total of 3 bathrooms including 2 with shower over bath, 1 with shower over spa, and 3 toilets.
On the ground floor, the large, light, and open kitchen/dining/living area has wood fire and gas heating, ceiling fans and split system reverse-cycle air conditioning. The spacious kitchen with dishwasher, oven, grill, new electric cooktop, and microwave, is fully stocked with crockery, glasses, cutlery, utensils, platters, salad bowls, pots, pans, ovenware, and baking ware as well as pantry staples such as tea, coffee, sugar, flour, oil, condiments and spices etc. Dish washing liquid, dishwasher powder, dish cloths and tea towels provided. We hope you will find everything you need for all your family meals and throughout your stay.
The living space, with recliner leather sofa and arm chairs, has a flat-screen TV, DVD/CD player with a variety of CDs and DVDs including many Pixar and Disney classics for the kids. In addition to the main dining space, the sun room off the kitchen seats 6 people at a second dining table. We also have a high chair for those with smaller children. This separate sun/games room area also has a stereo and a huge range of board games, cards, puzzles, as well as outdoor games, such as Finska, boules, tennis & badminton rackets, kite, soccer balls, flippers, frizbee, and fishing equipment. You will hardly need to pack a thing! We also have free Wifi available to guests.
Downstairs there is also a laundry with sink, top-loading washing machine, iron, ironing board, and clothes horse for the rare rainy day (washing powder provided for your convenience).
On the mezzanine level, we have many more children's games, a bookshelf stocked with books for young and old, as well as a writing desk overlooking the front garden. Meander up the beautifully-crafted wooden helical staircase to the third floor and you will never want to leave; here we have the pool room with bar, fridge, stereo, arcade console game box machine ,TV with inbuilt DVD player, sofa, and armchairs. This room will, no doubt, keep you amused during your stay. Note: there is a gate at the top of both flights of stairs to keep the children safe.
Our outdoors area, which is fully-fenced and secure and has a BBQ and outdoor seating with parasol in a delightful garden. It is an ideal play area for the children and pets alike. We also provide spare dog water and food bowls, a dog mat, and some dog toys for your furry family member to use. Note: responsible pet owners may take your pets indoors.
Linen/towels: You may choose to supply your own fitted and flat sheets, pillow cases, doona covers, and towels or, at the time of booking, request to have the beds readymade with supplied linen plus bath & hand towels and bath mats for an additional cost (please enquire at time of booking). Mattress and pillow protectors, doonas and blankets provided.
