This completely renovated former sheepfold is located at the very end of a cul-de-sac on a small road in the hills above Itxassou and Cambo-les-Bains, just 2 kilometers from each village. In a protected, peaceful, and beautiful setting, the only view from the house is the Basque mountain range, which stretches out before the windows and terrace. In the foreground, facing the cottage, a vast sloping meadow often shelters our neighbor's beautiful flock of sheep.
The cottage, nestled under ancient oak trees, faces due south and boasts a large terrace overlooking the mountains bordering Spain. Tasteful décor and complete comfort have been incorporated throughout. Between the sea and the mountains, in the heart of the "real" Basque Country and its charming villages, there are a wealth of activities and destinations to explore. The ideal location, just 25 minutes from the sea and in the heart of the traditional inland Basque Country, allows you to easily alternate between activities and discovering all facets of our beautiful Basque Country. Bernard and Fafa, the owners, are passionate about their region. They live in a separate house on the same property, about fifty meters away, but neither house disturbs the other. They are always available to offer advice, suggestions for hikes, or recommendations for good restaurants.
